My First Blog Post

Hello readers. This is the beginning of something completely new to me. I've never done a blog before. So forgive me for my improper use of grammar, punctuation, and overall structure. I am sure this is common for almost everyone to want to be a "perfectionist" or to get it done "right". However, I kind of find this not to be a very helpful behavior. Especially considering how it's actually completely normal to make mistakes and to learn from those "failed" experiences. How exactly are we supposed to learn anyways if we are not actively doing the said thing we want to learn as close to the context as possible? It's so easy to lose sight of this motivation, as we are all inclined to go to what's comfortable for us and what has worked for us in the past. So with that said, I would like to improve a vast majority of skills/benefits from doing a blog.

Now I am not sure how to go about this new habit, but all I know is I would like to stay consistent with it for at least a minimum of 21 days. If I can at least go over 21 days I know I have succeeded. Not to say that I am going to write a blog post every single day! But if I feel like it I will and however imperfect it maybe I would like to write 100 blog posts. As for the habit building, it is common that a lot of people believe that if you do something 21 days or over consistently you have all of a sudden developed a “new habit”. I would like to say this may not be true for everyone and is a little difficult to state this as a fact. Because I think the true habits that are built are familiarity, routine, habit “triggers”, and the reward. I think there is a lot of factors that go into building habits. I think for me personally a trigger of some sort like a specific alarm or time I do the said habit, and the ease of getting access to the habit.

So for blogging, I am going to strive to wake up every morning around 7:00 to 8:00 am and do my morning routine and just start writing a blog post. To be honest, this stuff is definitely scary. If you couldn't tell, you can sort of read the not so relaxed writing here on this post! It's okay though. This stuff is not supposed to be perfect and is almost more of a documentation journal or things I've found interesting and maybe even helpful. Feel free to read what you like. I definitely am scared to have this out there. But hey, I am doing something that makes me really uncomfortable and that I know for a fact will help me develop as a person. As Captain Yami Sukehiro always says, “Push past your limits!” So that's what I am doing! Anyways...

I think the largest problem I will be facing is striving to stay true to myself in writing and naturally being myself. I think a lot of the time people like to put of a front or performance when they are maybe uncomfortable or want to look good to those around them. Likewise, I want to break free of that sort of thing, but its not bad per se. Furthermore, I think everyone wants to strive to be their true self around people. No matter where they are or whom they are around. This I am still trying to find out myself. I think naturally whatever we do as people, we are actually being our true selves. We gain inspiration from things that resonate with us or align with our core values. I think as long as you know what your values are you sort of act naturally in line with whom you want to be as a person. Plus, no one can really tell you how to be as a person or how to behave. Only you as a person knows what you like and dislike! If you couldn't tell, I am sometimes rant quite a bit. I get stuck in my head quite a bit and overthink a lot. But if I stick to this, I am certain it will help with being able to develop those soft skills of writing, and being able to express myself fully through words. Who knows? Maybe I will start a YouTube channel if that's something I would like to do.

Let's see. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am 23 years old and am married to my beautiful wife Elizabeth. We have an absolutely cute baby girl that we love so much and love creating family memories and fun experiences together. I live in Idaho. The home of the russet potato, mountain bluebirds, and the appaloosa horses. It doesn't seem like it gets as mountain west as that folks. So more about me. I have a volley of interests ranging from data analytics, technology, music, art, entrepreneurship, archery, health n' wellness, anime, biohacking, herbology, and many more. I hope you find joy in some posts I will be writing. However, it won't be the prettiest journey. Again, with that said. I am not sure how to wrap this up. So farewell, and I'll see you in the next post!
